Sense volunteer roles have something to offer for everyone. Whether you’re interested in meeting new people, trying new challenges or sharing your existing skills and experience, we’ll aim to find you an opportunity to match.

Yoga Volunteer - Peterborough

Sense is currently running a yoga session for people with sensory impairments, every second Monday of the month from 1.45pm – 3.15pm, delivered by a qualified yoga teacher. Volunteers support the teacher with this monthly yoga session in central Peterborough.

Cycling Volunteer - Solihull

Sense is currently running an adapted cycling session in partnership with Solihull Active and Wheels for All, every Wednesday from 10.30 am – 1.30 pm.  Participants can try a range of adapted bikes including trikes, hand-pedaled bikes, tandems and bikes for those using wheelchairs.  Volunteers support the Lead Instructor with this weekly cycling session at a leisure centre in Solihull.

Lunch time support volunteer
Get to know our Sense College students, supporting them to make choices about their food, spending time with them, helping to set up and clear down at lunch times and being involved in food preparation and service during the week in term times.

The Summer term starts 24 April and runs until 11 August and ideally the lunchtime support volunteers would available at least one day a week over lunch times during the week.

Activities volunteer
Our activities volunteers will work alongside Sense College staff, helping to set up, clear away and take part in recreational activities such as arts and crafts, rebound therapy, music and drama, gardening or getting out into the community alongside our students with complex needs.

We're looking for volunteers to get involved during term time. The Summer term starts 24 April and runs until 11 August. Activity times may vary during the week, but will be during the day on a weekday.

Volunteer playworker
We are looking for patient, caring and fun loving volunteers to help Sense staff support deafblind children and their families to enjoy play activities on Wednesday afternoons and Fridays. This is a great opportunity to gain experience of working with deafblind children and their families, meet new people and make a real difference to the people who use our services.

Sense in Tower Hamlets
Sense Young People’s Services in Tower Hamlets is an exciting and fun filled project offering buddying and holiday clubs. Volunteer today and you can support children and young people with disabilities to access activities, holiday clubs and to make the most of their free time.
